The staff were exceptional and made us all feel very welcome, as did Alf and the staff at the Buffalo Bar. Weather wasn't the greatest but didn't stop us having a wonderful holiday. Being in the low season there were't many tourist and that's a big plus. ... click here for moreIt was very relaxing. my husband almost wanted to cancell the flight back and stay another night or two. We love the roof top terrace so much and one afternoon we just did nothing but stayed there chatting and enjoying the beatiful scenary around us. The restaurant was good too with decent food (both western and Chinese) and freindly service. The only down side maybe one of the delux room having only a very small belcony and may i suggest to change the bed orientation (to face the window instead of wall) so to have a better view? Overall definately a place worth staying. - Hide

Great rooms, amazing scenery & great service
Great Rooms
All of our rooms have been to designed with large windows to take in as much of the special scenery as possible. We have also kept the design of the rooms large and comfortable. Each room has a private bathroom and air conditioning as well as a wardrobe, a personal safe for valuables, couches and a work table. All linen is included as well as towels and toiletries
Spectacular Views
The Li River Retreat is located above the West bank of the Li River. Directly across the Li River are some impressive Karst peaks and looking downstream towards Yangshuo, you can see the famous Dragon Head Hill and many other Karst peaks. The rooms with the best views to these peaks and the Li River are our 'Deluxe' style rooms while the other rooms also have some views to the peaks. However, the best views are from our rooftop area where we have some tables and chairs that you can sit at during the day and take it all in. In the afternoons and evenings, we also open up the relaxing Sundowners rooftop bar, with a very good selection of drinks and soothing traditional Chinese music
Great Service
Our staff pride themselves on being very friendly and helpful. They are always there to assist you with your needs during your stay. We have a great team working in reception, our restaurant, and the rooftop bar. Their spoken English is good and will try to make your stay a very special one.
Our reception staff can also arrange any tours in the Yangshuo region and will also give great advice on the things to see and do here. They can arrange private boat cruises on the Li River, bike hire as well as tickets to the Liu Sanjie show and much more
