There's no way I'd want to stay in a regular hotel in town after staying here.The purpose of coming to Yangshuo was to get a feel for the countryside. This place was classic upscale tropical south-east Asia.The artistic quality of the furniture, room items, garden, etc. was quite notable. You should improve the paths into the amazing garden so it's not so "secret". We discovered it on the last day by chance.The cleanliness of the premises and room was striking. The food was fast and perfect no matter what time during the daytime. Even here the aesthetic attention to detail was notable.For touring, the scooters made all the difference for us, giving us unprecedented freedom to see everything in and around town at our whim. We undoubtedly set some records for mileage. Probably should have taken an extra liter or two with us under the seats when going into the countryside. Navigating China's organized chaos and sometime rough rural roads are not for the unskilled or uncourageous though.Shower needed an anti-slip mat.If it was my place I'd remove the pointless (and uncharacteristically ugly) half-walls between the decks on the third floor and allow the guests to share the full deck and 270 degree scenery.Many thanks again especially to the wonderful staff. -    Hide

The only thing I didn't ... click here for morelike was the cottage pie for dinner but like my husband said you should stick with Asian food when in Asia.I would definitely stay at your beautiful retreat again if I came back to your glorious area. The staff were wonderful, the room was just amazing and so clean. I was very impressed.
